Controversy over the syllabus removed by NCERT, Education Minister of Kerala said – We will teach

NCERT Books Controversy: Kerala's Education Department has taken a firm stance against the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus's removal of important sections. The Kerala chief minister and the Centre have both been informed of the state's curriculum committee's decision to require that the NCERT-removed portions of the curriculum be taught to students.

A complaint against the elimination of these crucial components would be submitted to the Prime Minister and the Union Education Minister, according to Kerala's Minister of Education V Sivankutty. It is obvious that the State of Kerala views the omission of these areas as a severe problem and is taking steps to guarantee that its pupils obtain a thorough education.

Teachers and parents alike have reacted negatively to the decision to delete portions of the NCERT curriculum. The NCERT is in charge of establishing the curricula for schools all over India, and the elimination of important components has sparked worries about the standard and breadth of instruction being given to children.

Additionally, Minister Sivankutty has declared that the state will incorporate the omitted material into the Kerala school curriculum. The NCERT has removed from school textbooks topics like Mughal history, the Gujarat riots, and Darwin's theory of evolution, igniting controversy and indignation.
Minister Sivankutty responded to the debate by saying that the state government is free to create textbooks as long as the federal government does not forbid the teaching of these subjects. He added that the teachers' union is in favour of including the lessons that were cut.
